Crochet Friends came about when I needed to do something to calm my anxious spirit. I had been a teacher for a long time, then decided to stop when teaching wasn’t fun any longer. So, I stayed home considering what could come next. In the meantime, I also decided I needed to work on some things about myself that I’d been ignoring for a long time–that anxious mind. So I began thinking and creating.

I learned to crochet long ago from my Busha and my mom. It always felt like the family craft. I’m not one for huge projects like afghans or sweaters, so I make animals. I use patterns from amigurumi crafters; some found in the books “The Crochet Wildlife Guide” and some in “Amigurume Pets.” Others are my own creations because I am learning to write patterns now. I am enjoying extending my creativity. Most of my little friends are one-of-a-kind color combinations because I like to switch it up.

If the friend you’d like is not in stock, or not in your favorite colors, simply fill out a special order request and we’ll have them ready for you as quickly as we can! Special orders usually take just 2-4 days to create before they are shipped. Shipping is calculated based on your address.
